Mehrdad Vasheghani Farahani is a Ph.D. holder in Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies from Leipzig University, Germany. He has extensively published in the domains of Corpus Linguistics, Translation Studies and Comparative Linguistics in various flagship journals. Furthermore, he has translated and authored books in the areas of Corpus Linguistics and Corpus-based Translation Studies.
Zahra Ghane is a linguist affiliated with the Department of American and English Studies at Heinrich Heine University, Düsseldorf, Germany. Her research focuses on corpus-based discourse studies in English and Persian, particularly in the areas of argument realization and the syntax–semantics–pragmatics interface. She is the author of an ESP textbook and has translated one book on linguistics as well as two works on culture and the arts. She is currently co-editing The Handbook of Persian Discourse Studies and The Handbook of Phonetics and Phonology of Modern Iranian Languages, both forthcoming from Springer.
