Description

This completely revised and extended third edition guides through an extended range of CT- or MR-guided procedures, including a comprehensive section on interventional oncology as the most rapidly growing segment in Interventional Radiology (IR).
IR has become a rapidly growing area of modern medicine, delivering minimally invasive patient-focused care. Its broad variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures became an indispensable part of modern medicine. Cross-sectional imaging techniques such as computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) paved the way for the rapid evolution of non-vascular interventions including percutaneous biopsy, drainage, ablation and neurolysis, with an ever-growing range of applications and indications.
A particular focus is set on clinical practice – featuring also patient care and assistance on how to build an interventional service – as well as on the most recent trends in robotics and artificial intelligence for non-vascular IR.
This book represents a most valuable source of information including step-by-step instructions for the radiologist dealing with all kinds of non-vascular procedures.
