Bahaaeddin Alareeni is an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Auditing. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium, with a doctoral thesis titled “The Relative Performance of Auditors’ Going Concern Opinions and Statistical Failure Prediction Models for Listed Companies in Jordan.” His research interests include Corporate Governance, Educational Governance, Earnings Management, Meta-Analysis in Accounting and Finance, Failure Prediction, ESG, and Audit Quality. Dr. Alareeni has over ten years of professional experience in accounting across various sectors, including banking, NGOs, the government sector, and private institutions. He also has more than thirteen years of academic experience, during which he has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including several MSc and MBA-level subjects. From 2015 to 2016, he served as Head of the Business and Finance Department and Head of the Scientific Research and Library Department at the University College of Applied Sciences. He has authored over 80 publications in reputable journals, books, and international conference proceedings indexed by ISI, Scopus, ABDC, and ABS. He is actively involved in editorial work and serves as Editor or Associate Editor for journals and books published by Emerald, Springer, and Taylor & Francis. He is the Editor-in-Chief of The International Journal of Business Ethics and Governance (IJBEG), Associate Editor of The Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment (JSFI) – Taylor & Francis, and has served as Guest Editor for special issues of journals including JSFI, Journal of Strategic Marketing (JSM), International Journal of E-Business Research (IJER) – IGI, and Journal of Decision Systems (JDS) – Taylor & Francis. Dr. Alareeni has edited several books published by Springer on key contemporary topics, including The Fourth Industrial Revolution: Implementation of Artificial Intelligence for Growing Business Success, Technologies and Entrepreneurship in Business Development, and Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Business, Education, and Healthcare. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the CESIBT Book Series published by Springer Nature. He received a research grant from the Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA) in 2015 and was recognized with awards from the Bank of Jordan – Gaza Branch (2000) and the Arab Organization for Student Support – Jerusalem (1997). In addition to his research and teaching, he has worked as a professional trainer in various fields and has supervised more than 15 Master’s students.
