Heather McPhillips, MD, MPH, FAAP

Dr. McPhillips served as Associate Program Director (13 years) and Program Director (8 years) for the pediatric residency program at University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital before becoming Associate Dean for Curriculum for the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM) in 2021. After four years in that role, she was appointed the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs for the UWSOM. She is current Chair of the Residency Review Committee for Pediatrics for the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and a former member of the Board of the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD).

Dr. Poitevien served as Program Director for the pediatric residency program at New York University Grossman School of Medicine (5 years), Program Director for the pediatric residency program at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University (4 years) and then as Senior Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University (3 years) before becoming Vice President for Campus Life at Brown University. She is the Immediate Past-President of the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD).
Joanna Lewis, MD

Dr. Lewis serves as Program Director (since 2014) for the pediatric residency program at Advocate Children’s Hospital. She is a Past President of the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD).
