Jörg Rüpke lebt und forscht in Erfurt. Er ist seit 2008 Fellow für Religionswissenschaft und seit 2013 Ko-Direktor des Max-Weber-Kollegs für kultur- und sozialwissenschaftliche Studien der Universität Erfurt.
