Mark Everist is Professor of Music at the University of Southampton, and is the author of books including French Motets in the Thirteenth Century (Cambridge, 1994) and Mozart's Ghosts: Haunting the Halls of Musical Culture (2013). He is co-editor of Analytical Strategies and Musical Interpretation (Cambridge, 1996) and of The Cambridge History of Medieval Music (Cambridge, forthcoming) as well as editor of The Cambridge Companion to Medieval Music (Cambridge, 2011).
