Marta Della Seta is a professor and researcher of geomorphology at the Department of Earth Sciences in the University of Rome La Sapienza, in Italy. Her research interests are in the morpho-evolution of the Earth’s surface in response to tectonic and climatic forces, focusing on tectonic geomorphology, geomorphological hazards, water erosion, and volcanic geomorphology. She has co-authored more than 40 research papers published on national and international journals, and is a member of the editorial board of Catena (Elsevier) and the Italian Journal of Engineering Geology and Environment.
