Dr. Stephen Newman is Emeritus Professor at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. His primary appointment was in the Department of Psychiatry, with a cross-appointment in what is now the School of Public Health, where he taught courses on advanced epidemiologic methods and biostatistics. His research was in the areas of community-based psychiatric epidemiology and epidemiologic methodology. He has published three books, all with John Wiley & Sons.
