Susmita Mukherjee, PhD did her Graduation and Post-graduation in Zoology. Passionate to learn and work on Environmental Biotechnology, she has been working in this field for more than 10 years towards preservation of ecosystems. She has done extensive work on the effect of ecological factors on sewage fed fisheries of East Kolkata Wetlands, India.?Her doctoral work was on the Wastewater management of Kolkata city. Her?research interest is in environmental toxicology and waste bioremediation primarily of land and aquatic systems. Also worked on the algal bioremediation of wastewater, understanding the effectiveness of the algal system involving different variations compared to other prevailing indigenous systems towards better management of wastewater problem.
